What is a Colloid?
Colloid is a fancy scientific word for "tiny" or "minuscule". Colloidal minerals are minute particles of gold and silver that have been broken down and suspended in water so they are ingestible by humans. Colloids for Life colloidal dietary supplements are manufactured using today's most advanced technology (mesoprocess) that breaks the metals down into the smallest, most effective particles possible, called mesoparticles. What happens if the colloid freezes?
Freezing can damage the colloidal suspension. If a colloidal suspension is allowed to freeze,the suspended particles may precipitate and fall to the bottom. If the color has changed to clear like water after thawing then the colloid is irreversibly damaged. If the color is normal, then the colloid is OK.

What exactly do Colloids do?
Metal colloids used as dietary supplements provide the body with minerals required to maintain optimum health. The basic functions of minerals in the body are building and regulating. The building functions of minerals affect all soft tissues, such as ligaments, muscles, and tendons, and the skeleton. Minerals regulate body functions such as heartbeat, nerve response, transport of oxygen to body tissues, blood clotting, and body fluids' internal pressure.

Is this some New Age fad?
Knowledge of the benefits of precious metals has been around for centuries.

Gold: Ancient Egyptian and Chinese civilizations used gold therapy to reverse, inhibit, and prevent joint and bone damage from rheumatism, arthritis and aging. In medieval Europe, alchemists used powdered gold in drinks for sore limbs. In ancient Rome, gold was used for skin ulcers. The use of Gold in modern medicine began with German Bacteriologist Robert Koch, who discovered that gold compounds inhibit the growth of the tuberculosis bacillus. He received the Nobel Prize in Medicine. Gold is used today in surgery to patch damaged blood vessel, nerves, membranes and bones.

Silver: Silver colloids were discovered in the 19th century. You may remember your grandparents putting silver dollars in their milk to retard spoilage. Prior to 1938, colloidal silver was used by physicians as a mainstream antibiotic treatment and was considered quite "high tech". Production methods were costly, however, and the pharmaceutical industry moved in with financially lucrative drugs. Using colloids can provide more benefits today because of the revolutionary method use to produce them, the Mesoprocess.

Why are these products not FDA approved?
The U. S. Congress passed an act which prevents the FDA from regulating vitamins and dietary supplements. Our products are dietary mineral supplements, not drugs. The FDA regulates the drug industry.

Does the FDA have evidence about risks associated with Colloidal Silver?

Are There Contemporary Studies That Support The Use of Colloidal Minerals?
In the late 1970s, Robert O. Becker, M.D., author of The Body Electric was studying regeneration of limbs, spinal cords and organs. He discovered that silver ions promote bone growth and kill surrounding bacteria. In 1978, the March issue of Science Digest included an article called "Our Mightiest Germ Fighter", which said in part, "Thanks to eye opening research, silver is emerging as a wonder of modern medicine. An antibiotic fights perhaps a half dozen different disease organisms; but silver fights some 650. Moreover, silver is virtually nontoxic." In the same article, Dr. Harry Margraf, a biochemist, says, "Silver is the best all-around germ fighter we have'"

How do Colloids work?
Colloidal silver appears to be a powerful, natural antibiotic. It reportedly disables the enzyme that one-celled bacteria, viruses and fungi need for their oxygen metabolism. The result is the destruction of the disease-causing organism.

Regarding colloidal gold, The brain is a collection of about 10 billion interconnected neurons. Each neuron is a cell that uses biochemical reactions to receive, process and transmit information. In the brain, nerve cells communicate with each other through the interconnections of neurons, called synapses. It is believed that the nanometer sized particles in colloidal gold effect the electrical charges that are produced when those neurons fire, in effect enhancing the normal communication that takes place between the nerve cells. This enhancement is believed to be responsible for increased brain functions and improved motor skills that are reported by users of Mesogold.

Why does Colloidal Silver take longer to work when antibiotics have been used?
The use of antibiotics impairs the body's immune system from fighting fungal infections and in many cases actually causes outbreaks of candida and other fungal infections. Many infections are fungal based, including most sinus infections. Severe overuse of antibiotics can cause the immune system to crash leading to many other immune deficiency related ailments including chronic fatigue. Low level bacterial, fungal and viral infections can thrive in the body when the immune system becomes impaired.

Why do symptoms seem to worsen when Mesosilver is initially used?
A condition called Herxheimer reaction, also referred to as a healing crisis, may occur. As bacterial, viral and fungal micro organisms are destroyed they release toxins. These toxins, along with the body's natural process of purging them from the system, can lead to achy, flu-like symptoms. The resulting discomfort may by present for 2 to 3 days.

Does Mesosilver harm the beneficial bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract?
No, not when taking normal dosages. Mesosilver is absorbed in the small intestine and at normal doses it passes through the small intestine walls and into the bloodstream before reaching the large intestine. The large intestine (or colon) contains beneficial bacteria that aid in food digestion. In the event that someone took an unusually large amount of Mesosilver, say 8 ounces, it is possible that some would reach the large intestine where it could possibly destroy beneficial bacteria. In this event, the bacteria could be replaced by taking acidophilus or eating yogurt. Even if nothing was done, the bacteria would replace itself within a few days.

Can Mesosilver and Mesogold be taken along with prescription drugs?
Yes. Mesosilver and Mesogold do not interfere with or interact with medications. Both gold and silver are noble metals, which means they do not readily combine with other substances to form compounds, so they do not interact with medications, herbs, or other supplements.

Can Mesosilver and Mesogold be given to infants and children?
Yes. Dosages should be adjusted for the reduced body weight of children and infants. Dosage of one teaspoon for every 70 pounds of body weight is generally appropriate.

Is Mesosilver safe to take during pregnancy?
We do not have any scientific studies that can prove that Mesosilver is safe to use during pregnancy. It is believed to be safe and many users have used it during pregnancy. No adverse effects have ever been reported.

Can Mesosilver be taken by a nursing mother?
We do not have any scientific studies that can prove that Mesosilver is safe to use by a nursing mother. It is believed to be safe and many users have used it while nursing. No adverse effects have ever been reported for mother or child.

Can Mesosilver be used for pets and large animals?
Yes. Mesosilver is commonly used on pets and large animals for many infections, such as ringworm, staph infections, and eye infections.

Can Mesogold and Mesosilver be taken together, or at the same time?
Yes. Since the Mesocolloids are all true colloids, meaning they are not ionic solutions, they can be taken together without any interactions.

Does Mesosilver cause Argyria or "Blue Skin"?
No. Argyria is a discoloration of the skin wherein the skin turns a blue-grey color as a result of over exposure to certain forms of silver. Argyria is known to be caused by ingesting; 1) silver salts (compounds) such as silver nitrate, 2) high concentrations of ionic silver, 3) protein based silver products AKA "silver protein" or "mild silver protein". Argyria is not caused by true silver colloids which consist of nanometer sized particles of silver in pure water.

Does mesosilver or mesogold accumulate in the organs of the body?
No. The metallic particles contained in Mesosilver and Mesogold are in the form of nanometer sized particles. These particles do not accumulate in body tissues or any organs. The nanoparticles are passed out of the body with waste within a few days of being ingested.

How do I know whether I need the Gold or the Silver?
Both are excellent, for different reasons. Think of Silver as a natural antibiotic that works on hundreds of infections. Gold is more for enhancement and strengthening of energy, focus, circulation, the immune system, tissue regeneration, absorption of nutrients, anti-aging and emotional balance, but is also very effective for arthritis pain and other degenerative conditions. How long do they take to work?
Of course results vary with individuals. In three to four days, silver results begin to appear, in some cases results appear in as little as one or two days. Gold results will depend on the condition it is being taken for.

I've Heard That Copper Is Also A Beneficial Metal.
